I’d like to do a little better than Villar as DH knowing Pederson will return at some point.

Villar would still play since him and Hosmer are opposite handed hitters and mostly play different positions. We've also got Wade who's a much better hitter. There's really no place for Hosmer.

I'd rather give Villar the opportunity to sink or swim. We already know what Hosmer is.

We almost pulled game 4 back even without our best lineup. The team feels like it’s on to something but the question is, how can they stay competitive the rest of the way? Did anyone pick up Hosmer? At the time, I thought of him as a possible DH.

Hosmer has been on the decline for many years now. Pretty much after he signed that big contract. Strange how that happens.

Hosmer out but Villar is still a question. Flores could have fit but he’s almost vanished at the plate but still spells Wade Jr., and others in the IF. Maybe when Estrada checks back in things may get easier but we’ve got to do better than Villar.
