I dunno. I don't hate the Keith Jones move....Jones has a unique perspective of the league an analyst point of view. Plus he's been critical of the Flyers on TV and on radio....so I don't think he's going into this with any bias. He may have more input then we'll know.

The President title has always just been a figure head position. More onus is on Briere and team.....the team goes as he goes....

dave dombrowski is the team president of the phillies. has he made a difference?

daryl morey is the team president of the sixers. has he made a difference?

i understand why you might see this as a figurehead position, but in healthy organizations, it's a very real position. no offense to keith jones, but the flyers should not be hiring a TV commentator who has never worked in a front office to fill this position. it's a ******* decision by a ******* organization.

but maybe it'll work out. who knows.

I'll wait to make a decision and give him a chance to prove he can move the team forward.

Did Dombroski or Morey play the game most of their lives? Keith Jones feels a little different when it comes to the Operations from the other two.

Dombrowski is running a team built for possibly sustaining runs in the future....questioning if they needed Trea Turner over improving the rotation....but the team definitely should be good for the near future.

Morey is running that team into the ground....they may not have a 1st round pick til possibly, what, 2028 depending on draft position. No real cap space to bring in better younger talent. Hasn't really improved the Sixers - I think the NBA has caught up to Morey and how he handles a roster.

Jones/Briere - if they develop a plan and draft picks/prospects develop correctly they could have something....Jonesy wasn't wrong when he said they have to strengthen the backend of the team as well as solidify down the middle....they're doing the right thing by letting the young guys play. Briere has a tall task of getting out of Fletcher's mess (little cap space/limited draft picks). It'll be interesting to see if they can pull off a
    rebuild.

I want all the Philly teams to succeed....just trying to think positive no matter who's in charge right now.

morey drafted tyrese maxey, which is the single biggest value added transaction that has happened for this franchise in the last decade (since drafting embiid in 2014).

morey got here after we dumped jimmy butler in the trash.
he got here after we burned 300 ****ing million ****ing dollars on horford and tharris.
he got here after whatever the **** markelle fultz was.
he got here after we passed on mikal bridges and shai gilgeous alexander and michael porter jr, to take zhaire smith (who?).

i don't know what you want/expect from morey, but he's not the one who ****ed the sixers.

there is a certain someone whose 10 year contract happens to expire this summer.

it is a terrible idea for the flyers to sign him, but i will still pop for it if they make it happen.
