Looking thru the net, I found an article from the hockey writers website by Matt Grazel. This guy has like no hockey IQ if he really thinks that the best we can get for Lafraniere in a trade is 2-2nd Round picks for Lafraniere & a 3rd Rd pick.

I laugh when I read some of these posts. Everyone wants to say Lafraniere is a bust because they are just looking at the stats, and not watching the games, the kid is playing on the 3rd line with virtually no PP time, how is he suppose to get his numbers when he doesnít get the time on the ice. As I recall he was playing well on the 2nd line with Panarin & Chytil before Gallant decided to end the very short lived line because he could not help himself and needed to keep Kreider with Zibenajad and keep Panarin with Trocheck ( no matter how obvious it was to everyone in the world that they had no chemistry & just donít work well together). But letís just say for argument sake HE IS a 3rd line player, well then we just need to pay him like a 3rd line player and keep him there. We need a complete team of players to field a team. I donít get where people come up with this idea of well he was a 1st overall pick and heís not playing like a 1st overall pick so we have to dump him for pennies on the dollar and try to start the process over with another player. Every player has a roll.

As far as the next HC goes, thereís already a report out there that says Quenneville is meeting with the commissioner in hopes of getting re-instated. But I donít think Drury would go that route. It seems to me Drury wants a yes man, someone he can dictate lines and playing time of players to, so a HC with experience is not gonna go for that. So I tend to think the next HC is gonna be someone with no NHL coaching experience. To a certain extent I wouldnít mind Knoblauch because Knoblauch knows the AHL guys so he will have knowledge of the players he wants to bring up with himó it will take coaxing to get Drury to agree but at the same time we donít have cap room so we will be looking to fill the team with minimal contracts so that should be a problem either.

NHL trade talk has an article claiming the Rangers are trying to trade Goodrow in order to clear cap space but itís gonna cost us a 2nd or 3rd Rd pick at the minimum in order for us to get a team to take him off our hands. I think thatís a very steep cost. I would just keep him if thatís what the cost is gonna be.

Seems everyone is jumping on Elliotte Friedmanís bandwagon and saying Peter Laviolette will be our next HC.

On plus side thereís also been talk that the salary cap could go up $2 mil. dollars, hey every little bit counts when youíre trying to fill out your roster.
