Mitch hit Obi with a pass that surprised me too... the center duo really played well

I'd add a 4th pick to that deal... if Philly doesn't make it to the ECF I think Harden goes back to H-town, Doc is fired and Philly hits the reset button because Embiid is going to want out with nobody around him. Knicks have a young team and trading them young assets in positions they need like Mitch, RJ and Obi and 4 picks, hell Morray's job might be on the line if he didn't make that trade.

    Game #72 (Knicks 41-30) vs Nuggets (47-23)

My son that's in that signature picture with Mitch when he was 16 is now 20 years old and this is the most excited I've ever seen him as a Knicks fan. I heard him tell his boys who are all Lakers fans that the Knicks might win the championship... wow

I don't think any of us have seen a Knicks team with 2 bona-fide star players who average over 20ppg and 2 other players (RJ and Quick) who can also give you 20+ in any given game? Then our center duo might be the best defensively we have ever had. Mitch and iHart both had their moments against the Joker and if we get Embiid we still keep one of them as a backup.

Hart, Grimes and Deuce are great Swiss army knife glue guys to have to do all the dirty work. I have to take time to give Leon Rose his flowers because no one really saw what he and Thibs was building here... a culture and team that plays good defense and hits you with waves of scoring and sharing the ball.

Our team chemistry is great right now. Let's see what we can do in the playoffs. This team is still very young. Jules and Hart are our oldest rotation vets at 28 years old and neither of them have much playoff experience. If they don't show up in the playoffs I won't be too upset because the team is so young and need playoff experience to grow together.
You say crazy things after a Knick win. Mitch and Ihart aren’t Eddie Curry and Jerome James but they aren’t Ewing and Camby either.

everytime i say he should stop taking 3's he ends up shooting 40% from 3 on high volume the next month.

but he really did a great job of attacking and stopped shooting the 3 yesterday.

knicks now have the 4th easiest schedule the rest of the way, lets get that HCA!
It will be interesting to see if he can get bucket next game and how hard he tries to get to the bucket with Rudy in the paint. I’m happy Barrett is playing well. He’s frustrating but I don’t he’s been as bad as the fans make it sound this year. I also think the off season narrative will probably come down to how he plays verses the Cavs. unfortunately I think he’ll need to make jump shots against that length.

Thank God the Cavs let Kevin Love walk though. No stretch 5. I can’t believe they did. They knew there was a good chance he’d go to a EC competitor too

Pretty sure his first possession he stole it right out of Jokic hands and he finished strong contesting Jokic’s 3s well in crunch time.

I noticed last night down the stretch Randle hit a few big shots and he’s just so much better when he’s a fallback option off Brunson then when he’s the first guy calling for the ball. His game falls into place there and he was able to hit a couple nice fadeaways without double teams or king fu fighting for post position.

Yea the Kevin Love thing didn’t make a ton of sense unless he just wanted to start somewhere and they obliged. He always kills us from 3.

Cavs will be a tough matchup for RJ no doubt. Jokic is a great matchup for him.

yea Randle is like the 3rd or 4th guy i want with the ball late in games. Dont mind him taking the shots, but when he's creating as essentially the PG, it just doesnt look good.

and to top it off his body language is never one of accepting he made a bad play. he threw the ball a good 12 feet away from where RJ was standing, and he almost seemed annoyed with RJ... instead of just saying "my bad" and patting his chest.

his on court leadership will always leave alot to be desired.

good point, he killed us for 29 earlier this year, probably his best game of the year but CLE doesn't win that game without him. he could probably have 1 of those type of games in the playoffs too

Either that, or he always looks to complain to refs. I mean a lot of guys do, but he REALLY does

Not so crazy... by the time we got Camby in 98-99' Ewing was pretty much washed. We got Mitch and iHart and they are both under 25 years old. Now prime Ewing is a different story. By the time we made it to that 99' Finals Ewing wasn't even starting which caused a mismatch because LJ had to guard Duncan and Camby moved to center.

Ewing wasn’t starting…because he was hurt, and not playing at all

Ewing at that time was still much better than either of the guys we have now

Randle shouldn't even be allowed to bring the ball up the floor in Q4. If he gets a rebound, he should pass it to Q or Brunny. His handle is still questionable, and he commits way too many TOs.

Ewing got hurt in the playoffs. He didnt play in the finals but he averaged 35 mins a game that season and was still and absolute force on the defensive end. If you want argue that prime Ewing and Herb were the best defensive combo ok.
