Not bad, I think I would take that. Jets eat all of Rodgers salary too?

No that’s not possible. We aren’t getting a monster return and it will need to be conditional on him returning for year 2. We aren’t in the driver seat. We need to make a deal to get what we can. This is real life not madden

OK, I get it you play Madden. What kind of cash do you think the Packers eat then?

Feels like this thing isn't getting done for a while if it hasn't been done yet. The draft is now the next real deadline date and if the Jets are offering players and lesser picks, then the draft isn't that big of deadline point either. Feels like the draft only matters if 13 or maybe their 2nd are included. Really no point in either side blinking right now if they are locked into a staring contest.

This feels like the Jets are taking on AR salary and they don't know if they will have him more than one year, so they probably figure on waiting until after the draft to keep 13 and have that player with AR leading the squad. Maybe 2024 1st and 3rd if make AFCCG a 2nd. But they likely want AR in house sooner rather than later and if goes past draft GB probably will wait until after 6/1 if they aren't getting a first. Hoping Jets crack. Maybe get Jermaine Johnson otherwise if not able to get a 1.

This is going to be an interesting deal to say the least. Packers are going to dig in to get as much as they think they should. The jets are going to demand us eating the salary to justify the picks. Talk about a really bad contract on the part of the packers. Writing this huge check and then 1 year later deciding you don't want this guy anymore. Probably should have just traded him when they drafted Love.

Jets have 2 2nd rounders now with the Moore trade, that has to make the Packers ears perk up.

I’d take two seconds for him. Plus a conditional on something about year 2 like playoffs or something

Feels like the 2 2nds is a great thing for both sides. Packers can say they got first round value for Rodgers, since the 2 2nds are about the same as a mid first and the Jets can say they didn't give up their first. And even then, the jets can basically say they gave up a 2nd, 3rd and a player they didn't really want for Rodgers.

No idea if there's more conditions attached or not, but those two 2nds seem like a logical deal. Also, looking at this draft, I dont hate the 2 2nds over the 1st anyways. I'm not entirely in love with a lot of the guys available around 13 and 15, that I think I'd rather take 2 shots in the early 2nd instead. I also think early 2nd could be where those TEs start coming off the board as well.

Thing I like about the 2nds as well is the flexibility it gives up. Any of the 2nds plus our 3rd could get us back into the late first if we like a guy. 42 plus a 4th and maybe a 5th could get us to the top of round 2 if someone falls past the first.

Again, I'm not in love with the prospects around 15. There's some guys I liked but not sure I love them. But 2 2nds gives us the ammo to move around quite a bit if we want and if guys start falling.

How about a swap of 1st round picks 15 for 13 and both jets 2nd round picks and conditional 2nd for 2024? That's 1st and 3 2nds this year. If the Packers don't like the players at 13 they could trade back and get another 2nd. A late 1st rounder and 4 2nd rounders sound good to me.
