Well he is awaiting the birth of his first child. Scheinder has said that they planned for this. He does have the WBC which may throw a bit of a wrench into their plans though.

I’ve been reading about that too. He’s also set to kick off ST tomorrow. I’m just wary of him due to the lack of fastball command but if that changes, the 5th spot is his to lose.

Still love his potential as a strikeout pitcher, don’t even mind having the contract on the books. He’s the type of guy that is worth a gamble.

But I have very little faith. Hope he surprises.

I'd say Kirk needs to get in camp ASAP. Pitch clock is going to change the game in my opinion. Especially late in games as relief pitchers seem to slow game down more in crucial situations.

He needs to give up the WBC idea

Looking at yesterday 's highlights, Pitch clock really has sped game up. I think they should have gone 20 and 25 seconds maybe? Give batter 12 seconds to set up

White showed up to camp with shoulder impingement. Don't sound good for him as 5th stsrter

Yea or maybe phase it in.

If the only goal is to speed up the game then it will do that, but I enjoy the slow pace of the game - the mind games....etc It's a part of the game
