I'm not really a Richards fan either. Then he goes out and throws 2.1 IP with 5 K's today.

Happy to see Lukes get the last roster spot and Pop in the pen. Jay Jackson signing a split contract was a win for the Jays as well imo.

Richards makes 1.5m and can get lefties out with his reverse splits. He has the best k/9 in the pen. They think he can go multiple innings if needed and see value as him as an opener. I see why he is on the team. He has been good outside a stretch (admittedly not short) since joining the team.
I’ve been the high guy on this pen even before Swanson for awhile now.
