You're a day late but it's okay. Been a long off season.

Now for the hammer. So the Yankees start the pre season with two of their 5 starters on the IR.

I think Nestor is far more about keeping his arm healthy by not pitching in the WBC.

Nestor came out and said it's a small bruise around the hamstring and he expect to make his first ST start. If he's not going to miss the start of the season, it's no big deal.

To me, a small bruise is a bad sign.
It’s more like a grade 2. I would think they totally shut home down for 3-4 weeks to be safe
I tore mine in high school. I had a black and blue around the area. I was on crutches for 2 weeks and then started doing light activity

He will certainly get much better treatment than I did but if it’s bruised? That sounds worse than a mild pull

Interview today said he could be on the mound this weekend. Who knows if the Yankees are actually being forth coming with legit info ?

Boone. He's sooooooo honest and is fed suuuuuch good info but the FO. I believe anything he says!

Whatever the timeframe, it's a bit of a non issue.
My guess is the latter part of the article suggesting he'd be ready for opening day, is a safer bet. I would be extremely careful with him. Even if he missed a few games at the start of the year because they had him throw a game or two in AA, it would be fine.
He's also coming off the most innings he's thrown, so if he gets a later start, it isn't a bad thing.

His season is screwed. Watch, He will make just 15 starts this year!

when he is quoted in the paper I just go over it, and during post game press conferences I just fast forward, I want no part of his spin
