Only thing we can hope for out of this event is for the national pride to light a fire under our players *****. Expectations though…Eloy pulls his hammy trying to stretch a single to a double and LouBob pulls up lame by the 3rd game.

Not sure if you guys are paying attention to the World Baseball Classic, but Sox players are playing great.

    In 19 PA's Moncada has a 1.068 OPS

Eloy went 2 for 4 yesterday

    TA has a 1.625 OPS in 8 PA's

Lynn pitched a great game last night.

My hope for the WBC is for Moncada and Robert to find some of that love for the game that seems to have left them since they hit the lottery. They seem to be into it.

Moncada is on a tear right now. Hope he found himself playing for his home team. We need him to come back hungry.

Has anyone followed the WBC? This tourney has been extremely fun to watch. The friends are intense and the big moments seem never ending. They interviewed a bunch of Hispanic players and they said this means more than a WS. I can believe it because these fans are more inspiring the our fans. Yoan might have found himself in this tournament as well. He’s hitting the piss out of the ball. Lynn has been solid. Anderson has been good. LouBob has been ok. Graveman has been good. Eloy hit while he was there.

So, did Cuba’s LF not call for that ball, or is Moncada doing Moncada type things on the field still?

So Cuba’s Bullpen Catcher Ivan Prieto is the 1st Cuban to defect during the WBC. Any chance he comes to Chicago with the rest of the Cubans?

Dominated start to finish. Came with the best defense, the best pitching, and probably close to if not the best hitting. There was some crazy talent in this tournament. That OF from Korea, Jung Hoo Lee is gonna be a legit star in MLB. His numbers in Korea are video game numbers and he raked in the WBC.

Next year is going to be a good year to have Grandal’s albatross contact off the books. Of course I don’t expect signing this guy, but we have broke the bank for Cubans so maybe we open it up for the best Korea available.
