Again, that is only one guy’s take, and I have no idea who that guy is or what teams he has ties with. I too, feel that only 1
Top 100 prospect, and not sure where that guy is ranked, (might be 99 for all I know), seems a bit low as well.

If we trade a SS that hits .300 in his sleep, in his prime, on an extremely team friendly deal, we are getting that teams number 1 prospect, and at least one more of their top 5. Just looking at trades in mlb, that’s kind of how it goes.

he's outside of the top 50.

Honestly, we don't need a 2b spec. We have oodles of them already.

My leaders for our 3 available bench spots so far this Spring...

UTIL OF Victor Reyes, beating out BHam, Marisnick, Leury, Romy, Haseley.
UTIL IF Hanser Alberto beating out Leury, Erik Gonzalez, Romy.
Bench 1B/DH Sheets, beating out Burger. Burger K'ing too much although hitting for more power. Sheets Lefty Bat off the bench brings more to the table.
Bench C Zavala, no real competition here.

German seems to be in the lead for our 8th reliever over the likes of Avila, Banks, Middleton, Santos, Shaw.

There are only 4 roster spots up for grabs IMO.

So who do you think gets the nod between Reyes and Alberto in that instance? I just think it's a bad precedent to not give your new Manager the best roster. I also think they'd make more money from fans happy about that move then they'd lose cutting him lol. Hanser did way too much to not earn a spot IMO. Reyes looks solid too. My guess if they kept Leury, Reyes would be the odd man out.

11 million and I am with you. He's with us at least thru this year unless we can trade him with a spec and cash for say a quality backup catcher

Benintendi just worked a 1-2 BB. That was the type of AB this team rarely saw last year.

Sadly, I agree. That would be right in line with the way this FO operates. They dumped Kuechel, but that was in his final year, and he was basically unrosterable at that point.

My man Chapelli with a double in his 1st stateside AB!

In other news I feel like Hanser Alberto has to be locking up the UTIL roster spot.

Why Perez? Zavala I actually don't hate as a backup C. I just don't like him as the starter for the inevitable Grandal injury. Didn't Perez struggle to even catch the ball when they called him up last year?
