50 plus win team without jordan.... where is the 50 plus win team without bron????????? its insane that we see people still hating lol. We have laker fans literally not being able to stand watching greatness even though be got them a ring/scoring champ and is having the best season a laker has had in year 200 that is better than almost all of kobes years and on par with his best years. ENJOY THE GREATNESS because when he is gone the NBA will never be the same.
Born in 1975. My dad was a Celtics nut, and I was lucky enough to watch the Celtics-Lakers rivalry, even though I was a bit young to understand or appreciate it. When I was 9, a dude from NC came along, and became my (and many boys born from 1975-1982's) religion. To this day, I won't watch Last Dance, won't read articles on MJ, because I know he was a douche, and I can't have my childhood idol blemished, so I protect those memories and feelings. I never thought I would see a better player in my lifetime.
For me, and I mean FOR ME, LeBron James has surpassed Michael Jordan. Ultimately, I won't argue someone who has MJ ahead of LeBron, but those 2 are the only ones in the conversation, without a doubt.
Somehow, LeBron surpassed his impossible expectations. I feel most fans, even his haters, have at least settled into understanding how lucky they are to have watched LeBron's career, and understand they are watching not only generational talent, but once in a lifetime talent.
LeBron will finish with the greatest career in NBA history without question. If you like MJ's flavor better, so be it. But without question, LeBron has a valid argument as GOAT. For me, he is.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
Congrats to the greatest player I've witnessed in my adult life. There's been no one in the history of sports to come in with such high expectations. The fact that he's far exceeded those expectations is absolutely astounding. I'm glad I got the chance to watch him play and if I'm being honest I think most of us take his greatness for granted. His longevity is unrivaled. You don't have to like him as a person, I'm not personally a huge fan, but you absolutely HAVE to respect the player. GOAT or not, the man is a ****ing legend.
its pretty insane that was only the scoring champ once now leads the league in points. he has been fairly healthy as well, but its not like he is karl malone out there in terms of health. its going to be a very hard record to break, and a huge part of that will be how much he adds to it. I mean sheesh he is still averaging 30/8.5/7 out there at 38. Even in a really fast league with a bad team thats insane.
I still have jordan as the best player to ever play. His desire to just win every single game every single night was just on a different level to just about every single player. part of that made him a very difficult teammate that killed two different bulls teams. Lebron on the other hand left and reformed teams a bunch of teams and has hand in quite a few roster decisions most of which have been terrible. As for the goat I don't know. that is an impossible question because everyone has different criteria. like jordan when he was 38 was a below average basketball player.
