    Abortion bans: after effects

Abortion bans will have repercussions. More children, particularly in poverty, that will need assistance. Discuss what should be done about the consequences of abortion bans in here.

What should be done? Learn from the pile of mistakes we've made in banning it and reverse the bans so we stop treating people like incubators on legs.

What will be done? Ignore the consequences, ignore the studies showing the consequences, ignore the children living in abuse and poverty, and otherwise try to expand the bans unless and until they start to suffer politically for it. It's literally the only thing that's going to matter to the people enacting these bans.

What should be done: Any state that removes womens reproductive health rights, should immediately be forced to:
    1. Offer entitlement assistance to families, regardless of income level
    2. Enact, and enforce strong gun control measures, as they will help protect children from gun violence
    3. Increase spending for education
    4. Cover any and all cost of delivery, medical care, and expenses up to K-12 for all children
    5. Set up additional foster care facilities
    6. Give a mass reduction for adoption cost through state paid subsidies

    to name a few..

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

Can't we just force women to give birth and not worry about how it affects the women?

Just remember that abortion is murder before you get all worked up about banning it.

I agree, even subsidizing it for families that can't afford it outright.

I would be in favor of this pending the details of course.

A law should be proposed that a substantial percentage of any money made by anti-abortion groups should go directly to adoption agencies, foster homes, homeless children organizations, etc.

additionally, any state where abortion has strict parameters, MUST dedicate tax dollars to the above mentioned programs. You want to force women to have a baby, then help her out for 18 years.

Agreed. Additionally, increase income taxes, property taxes, etc. to fund all the programs I mentioned along with food voucher programs, mental health services, special education, etc. Almost forgot, any and all medical procedures related to complications form birth that could have been solved with an abortion should be 100% covered by tax payers in the state.

As you correctly stated, if parents are being forced to give birth, then all care associated with that child and parent should be covered by the same people forcing the birth to happen.

Do you really think the politicians will be fair in dealing with the blowback of banning abortions? Especially at the low end of society. They tend to go in the opposite direction, like restricting unemployment aid and cutting snap after we lost our manufacturing sector. Just politically floating the idea of cutting social services after a pandemic and now our current inflationary trend tells you where their mindset is.

Y' all are talking my talk, but not DC.

oh we KNOW what the GOP does do, we are simply discussing what SHOULD be done when abortion bans are set in place. This is all about the impact the ban causes, and how to deal with it.

At the end of the day, we know for a fact the GOP could care less about a life once it's pooped out of the womb..

That life in the womb is only valuable to them as a talking point. They don't care about prenatal care as well or our high infant mortality rate in the western world

of course they don't care. The only thing they care about is control. Nothing else.
