    The offense changes dramatically.

    JD needs to suck it up and change his approach. He needs to shorten his entire swing. All his mechanics need to shorten.
    JD would need to stop guessing at pitches. He was late in his approach last year: his body wound up in front of his swing way too often. For Cashman to say it was an off year is just him gaslighting all of us.

    Not a fan of Donaldson or Hicks. But it makes perfect sense for them to have into mid-May to sort themselves out at this point. There are three possibilities.

    1. They perform at above average levels and contribute meaningfully all year.
    2. They perform at above average levels and if the kids are killing it in AAA can be traded to make room and cut their salary.
    3. They suck and they are either cut or become back up to the kids or a trade.
    Time to double down on the 'Spects!
