Malone and Doc is a funny coaching match up. The Nuggets are such an interesting group of players and he finds ways to emphasize there skills while Doc seems like the old school these are the roles I need filled and I’m going to force guys into them regardless of individual skill sets

It is. I didn’t love the Doc hiring and I was continually told how much better than Brett Brown he was gonna be and he’s somehow worse.

IMO it was never about the regular season. His contract was about the post season. But clearly Brand and Doc did not learn from the whole Horford thing that this doesn’t work, and Harris being out there with another PF is a mistake.

More that the game slows down and the pace changes. This team is really built more now for the playoffs slow down time.

I would say the issue that is being laid at PJs feet is there’s no other wing defender that helps take things away. That’s why Melton starting has been huge. Maxey isn’t a defensive player, does passing lane defense at most, so that opens up the court more and doesn’t clog things. When Melton can do more to eliminate a guy it helps Tucker out by making it tougher to space the floor around Tuckers man.
