Couple of things for note.

1. Being reported the three teams in were the Giants, Yankees and Padres. Padres apparently offered more than anyone else.

2. Judge is expected to be named the next captain of the new york yankees.

If they got Reynolds, they wouldn't have to spend.

Moving players like Hicks/JD would count for something as well but I don't think they do.


My honest question for all, if they don't do anything else, is this a smart move?

The only time I got worried or thought he was gone was with Steve Torre on MadDog said he was gone then started backpedaling in the same phrase. So I thought he knew more but other than that I knew he was staying.

No, And like you I was getting tired of needing to bow down to Judge, Am I happy we got him yes...

I think they should do whatever they have to to get Reynolds... Trade away Hicks and Torres..

I think we will start the year with Peraza SS and Volpe 2nd base... Probably stuck with JD at third, And just hope he turns it around. It cost to much to trade him away, Would rather just let him go and let Cabrera settle in at 3b, Instead of moving him all over the place and let him concentrate on his swing.

Clumsy language, LOT'S as in many innings NOT many kids.

I aree on moving Hicks, never liked or wanted JD, was sad to see Gio go. Although JD had a decent history. He forgot how to hit.

Padres offer was apparently 10 years 400-410 million range.

So I guess the narrative that judge didn't wanna be a Yankee can be put to bed.


Apparently Hal is currently in Italy, the offer from the Yankees was 8/320 as of yesterday. He spoke with Judges team and offered to add the 9th year to the contract to get it over the finish line.
