On the bolded ... yes, to Caruso. Westbrook is possibly the most over-rated, most selfish player of the last quarter century, and that's taking in some pretty darn selfish/over-rated players.
Any one can start. he is solid but that will boil down to who your going to start him with.

I wont argue a Westbrook Caruso debate. No team would ever flirt with the idea of construction a team around Caruso at no point in his career. Its a stretch to even pencil him in as a starter.

Sure, but I didn't say Caruso is comparable to prime Westbrook. Caruso is definitely more valuable than Westbrook of recent years.

I am just pointing he may not even be starting material. He is struggling to even stay on the floor as old Westbrook.

For different reasons though. Caruso has been injured, whereas Westbrook just isn't very good anymore.

Put it this way build a team around this old version of Westbrook and one around Caruso the the chance of you making the playoffs is much higher with Westbrook.

None of them play for the Lakers at the moment.

Because he is not that kind of chip. Howard Cousins can still play but not in the league? Those guys played a different Role. When old DWade retire he would still produce better than many. But thats not the role they are use to playing. Caruso best season may struggle even equal Wade or Westbrook worst season. Even if he does it that will be them at their worst.

Meh, that game wasn't nearly as close as the score indicates, and on top of that middling, bad teams beat good, great teams fairly often too.

They were also missing a guy that has been top 5 caliber at worst over his past 5 or so games

When they were losing every game they had horrible Bron and Goodish AD.

I still don't feel comfortable they'll stay healthy though

I'm back on the "forget next seasons salary cap and go all in this season trade" train.

How can I say this without being accused of making a terroristic threat by Idawg, but I don't want to sit around and let someone else stop Boston from #18, I want to roll up my sleeves and take care of them myself.

That kinda leads into my trade can make this team a contender thought.

Westy has been a below average bench player. He just isn't atrocious like last season so it feels like he's been solid.

The season is long. Nothing is wrong with changing your mind. Maybe you have seen enough and now think the trade will net them a title. Not because you said something mean you cant change your mind LOL. What if you wanted Kyrie and he got injured or he did not play well? Would you still stick to that? I wont LOL.

With that out the way. Davis have been playing well and Lebron seem to got his head out his ***. Lakers need to stop playing like its just for playoffs and actually try to make the playoffs. I am still sticking to holding the picks for now. Even if they dont land Kyrie i hope they keep Walker and sign and trade for Turner at the very least. Dennis looks good so far to and not sure how they can keep them both plus add Turner. Kyrie and Walker i like to.

If they continue to play will i might lean towards moving 1 but for now none.

I disagree if we are assuming health.

That said nobody should build a team around either of them.

Before COVID the Vipers used to sell seats right behind the players bench, that's me wearing my throwback #8 Kobe jersey right behind the Lakers bench. I went to see Thomas Bryant after his good summer league play. Isaiah Hartenstein owned him that game. Caruso was on the team but didn't play. Sat right in front of me wearing all black. I talked to Travis Wear for a few minutes when he was standing right beside me stretching. GPII was also on the Vipers team.

They don't sell them seats anymore.
