Hopefully then DeGrom and then Nimmo. When that is done the bullpen has to be addressed . Ottovino, Lugo, Chalfin and Robertson, or Rodgers to start. I don't think that Robertson can get a QO as he was traded August 1. Maybe Will Smith not sure about resigning Trevor May. What about Matt Moore or Raphael Montero ?

Lugo might want to sign with a team that would give him a chance to start. Then maybe Chad Green unless there is an understanding between Cohen and Steinbrenner that they would not pursue each other's FAs

If we need a SP , what about Taillon or Evoldi or Tyler Anderson ? Would you try and resign Bassitt? I know you like Rondon , as I do, but I think there is just an amount that Cohen is willing to pay and Rondon might exceed that limit.

It looks like the Mets will pick up Vogelbach's contract . Any interest in JD Martinez, Josh Bell, Trey Mancini , Justin Turner?

I would love to sign Trea Turner to play 2B and move McNeil to LF , but I am sure that Trea Turner wants to play SS, and The Phillies and Braves will be on him , if the Braves do not resign Swanson. The reason also against Trea Turner is the same as not signing Rondon - just too much money .

For third base? I wouldn’t hate that.

If the Mets let Nimmo walk, I expect them to call up the Rangers and Dbacks about Adolis Garcia and Daulton Varsho

He could play CF.

If offered enough money, Turner will play 2B I think. But again, true he will cost a ton. He already made $21M this past season.

Anyway, just speculation again, which is probably BS. Turner will likely get a QO and Eppler has already indicated the Mets will not likely go for any FAs the could cost a draft pick. I would be very surprised if the Mets went after Turner. Maybe the rumor mill is getting Trea mixed up with Justin, who will probably not get a QO.

Wonder if Ohtani will be traded mid season 2023 or if the Angels just let him go FA and collect the draft pick. All depends on the sale of the team. New ownership may go the route of putting money into the team and signing lots of players in the hopes of make the post season. But as of now, Angels are no better, maybe even worse, than the 79 wins they had this past year. But, that is their problem.
