Deforest Buckner was traded for the 13th overall pick when he was traded a few years back. What’s the cost to acquire a Montez sweat right now?
I want the bears to get their best available talent - position considered - at 9.
Would be more than happy with Broderick Jones tbh.

In all my mocks I keep falling into Brandon Joseph late in the draft. This would be a great depth Safety addition. Snag him with 1 of our 5s. I think OT you gotta go early. As for G and C, there is talent that we can get with out 2nd’s, 3rd or 4th’s. Wypler or Tippman at C. Mauch or Patterson at G. I just wish we could add one earlier 2nd so we can land 2 on the DL in the 2nd, then go C and G with our last 2nd and 3rd rounder. I want that 2nd back from the Steelers. We coulda got everything I covet in the early rounds. 2 DL and 3 OL. Then grab a Safety, CB, RB in the mid rounds.

While there's plenty of other positions that need upgrades and better depth, I wouldn't complain of a QB being drafted later.
Apparently they have been looking at Purdue QB Aidan O’Connell.

I wouldn't complain about it either. Though I do like the long term fit for PJ Walker as the backup
Never a bad idea to continue to bring in qb talent.

I keep going heavy OL in my mocks. This early 2nd I got in the trade up helped me finally get the 2 DLman I wanted. One regret is where I took To’oto’o. Coulda got Joseph at Safety, and maybe still got To’oto’o next. I just couldn’t pass him up when I saw him there, even if we are set at LB. Tuli and Adebawore would be awesome for our DL depth. Jones, Mauch, Tippman, Patterson makes our OL a strength. Braxton and Joned at OT with Borom Depth. Davis, Jenkins with Mauch Depth. C Tippman with Patterson depth. Let Whitehair go.
"Edmunds spent his first five NFL seasons with the Bills after being selected by Buffalo with the 18th pick in the first round of the 2018 draft out of Virginia Tech. The 6-5, 250-pounder has generated at least 100 tackles every year he's been in the league, was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2019 and 2020 and was named a Bills captain in 2019 at the age of 21.
Eberflus was in his first season as Colts defensive coordinator when Edmunds entered the draft.
"Outstanding young man," Eberflus said. "We obviously evaluated him when he came out and we loved him. We had him super high. When we had the opportunity to get him, we were just really excited about that. To me, he's gotten better and better and better and I think his best year was last year."
Eberflus said that while the Bears are going to keep their depth chart open at this time of the year, Edmunds played middle linebacker with the Bills and "he's probably going to find his home there."
"He is a big body guy," Eberflus said. "I've had several offensive coaches come up to me during the Pro Days and all that stuff … what the offensive coaches say, just that big body presence in the middle in between the hashes there, that's where a lot of the throws go, and it really deters that. His size and length, he has tremendous range in there as a pass defender."
Flus basically confirmed that Edmunds will be at MLB.
