The sad part of this there will be people who defend him and I'm not talking about just those in extremist right organizations. I dont care how much someone loves his music. This should be a deal breaker and everyone who associates themselves with him (aside from his immediate family) should cut him off.

It's such a dangerous thing to have a public figure with that high of a profile say these things. It emboldens others to be just as outward about that bigotry.

One silver lining might be that we can now identify those people and not have to worry about what they say behind closed doors because they're just saying it publicly. So we can appropriately call them out and make it clear they don't belong in our diverse society.
