One way or another they expect a decision within 24-48 hrs

They also have made an offer for Rodon. Believed to be 6yrs 184m.. That deal isn't as close at this time
6/184 is enough for Rondon if he turns that down meh and move on. If SF outbid us for the Judge will be surprising but if so I’d guess is an even more mental deal than deGroms

I know some players just don't like him so we will see. Volpe is gonna play second and Peraza short... I would love for them to keep Cabrera at 3rd and that be our infield. Or bring up Sweeney and let Cabs be that great utility player...
I would love for this to all happen. I personally think that if Judge goes to SF, the Yankees will have a knee jerk reaction of epic proportions.
They will sell whomever to get Reynolds They will pay Beni. They will make a foolishly high offer to Rodon and they will make a foolishly, long commitment to Correa.

In short, I wouldn't be one bit shocked if they completely decimated the farm and got whomever they could as a big F-U to Judge.

11 friggin years?? I mean at least it's under 30 AAV but my lord. If he got 11, Judge just upped his number.

It’s laughable. The owners just can’t help themselves

At this point, I don’t even care if we sign no one. A nice player just got signed until he’s 40. A 40 year old pitcher just got a multi year 43M per deal. A pitcher that hasn’t made 100IP in 3 straight seasons gets 5/185..

    It’s a joke

If we did trade for Reynolds with Torres going and get Judge back, seems we’d be pretty locked in except for the infield (excluding 1B):

    C Trevino
    1B Rizzo
    2B ???
    3B ???
    SS ???
    LF Reynolds
    CF Bader
    RF Judge
    DH Stanton

    Bench: Higgy, Hicks, ???, ???

So 5 more position players and seems they would be: IKF, Donaldson, Cabrera, Peraza, DJ

They’d have to decide how to best divide playing time for those 5. Keep in mind also that Volpe also factors in midseason. So if the plan is him at SS and Peraza at 2B, then you likely want to start Peraza at 2B even before Volpe is up. Also seems DJ might be on the IL for a while… maybe opens the door for a guy like Carpenter to come back?

My guess is they’d want to move Hicks and Donaldson. I’m guessing with Hicks that you’d have to eat so much money that it isn’t worth it. On Dondaldson, maybe the same thing with DJ already out and question marks in the infield.

The only thing worse will be if it's their only signing.
