I/m told if its overall value of the contract is something he's looking for, like bigger than 330 which is Harper, that they Yanks would prefer to go an extra yr, vs a higher AAV.

Part of the reasoning is the Yanks have started pursuing more player in tier 2 options in FA and are focused on the trade market

They have remained in contact with Correa and Xander camp.. I think they are hoping one doesn't get the long term deal and would take a short one like Correa did last yr.

They would love to get Rendon but not at the 7y245 m range that is the current ask. They have him as as slightly better Robbie Ray and would be in on him 100%. They are very interested in Senga, which would seem more likely since he's not attached to anything.

All over the OF market , a trade seems like it's becoming a stronger possibility. Here's a question, would rather Flo as your 4th OFer or would you being interest in taking a flyer on Kelnic
why would anyone want rendon his has been a huge bust injuries or not . i would not care if the angels picked up 75% of his salary..

It's weird. I guess they presume Peraza will be traded. Regardless, I would argue there is Zero chance that's the lineup

Yeah I was scratching my head as well. Stanton full time in RF? No mention of Cabrera or Peraza.

I must admit I don't know if this was a fan creation using Streamers data or an actual Streamer projection.

I think your going to see Belly sign with a smaller market team with a strong hitting coach and probably a team willing to trade him to a contender at the deadline, if he's able turn it around

Makes the most sense. He's going to want to be an everyday player to try and get back in rhythm. Tough to really showcase anything as a 4th OF

It's based on who the Yankees have in their system right now.

1 Wells isn't anywhere close to being ready to be an MLB catcher
2 Volpe isn't ready or better than Peraza at SS
3 Chaparro was left unprotected in the rule 5 and is 95% likely to be gone after that.

It's kind of like those BS lineup baseball america throws out about what the lineup could look like in 2-3yrs

    Zero reality

Hal is planning to spend like it 09 if they don't sign Judge. If they miss on Judge they are going to completely rebuild this team on Pitching, speed, contact and defense

Your last paragraph? I would love that and think it’s a much better option than investing all that money and years in Judge.
My only hesitation to that rebuild is Cashman would be spending the money, and he’s proven that he doesn’t know how to do that

So he wants to play till he's 40. I don't know. Is one year worth him walking? Tough question.
I would lean to saying, goodbye.

Here's something crazy. If judge hit 40 hr a year til he was 40, he would still be under 600

I think he actually ends up the best power hitter, not to reach 500. Now if he jacks 200 in the next 4 seasons? Then it's a different conversation and he could do that.

I think Cashman has proven he can spend. Not well but he spends like a fat person in a skinny jeans store, foolishly and without thought of consequence

Or did you mean he doesn't know how to rebuild? Because that is 100% true.

I meant both, and the sad thing is he's only getting worse
