I had a funny thought. Imagine if Judge decided after the way cashman acted last year, he was going give the Yankees the ultimate troll.
He was always going to SF but just wanted to make the Yankees jump through hoops, beg, plead for him to say yes, and right after he does, he says, "oh and Psyche!"

Would you believe I just had a text conversation with a very good friend basically saying this exact thing?
And I asked him if he thought I was nuts, so if I am so are you clown

He was really pissed about Cashman leaking the negotiations, he sees AB and Cash and Hal as the three stooges.

And if being home in SF is that important to him so be it.

If they lost Judge is it feasible they sign Correa, Nimmo, Rodon and trade for Reynolds. Assuming Torres goes out that leaves us with:

C Trevino
1B Rizzo
2B Volpe
3B Correa
SS Peraza
LF Nimmo
CF Bader
RF Reynolds
DH Stanton

Bench you go with a backup catcher, IKF, Cabrera and then either a 4th OF (Florial?) or maybe a bench bat like Carpenter back

Assuming Hicks and Donaldson are moved to save whatever you can.

I don’t even hate that lineup.

Not too shabby. I like it! Question in my mind, will Hal spring for the bill? Collectively they would cost considerably more than Judge.

I have a feeling Peraza and/or Volpe would be gone in the Reynolds trade.

cashman should never have been retained he has failed the yankees for so many years and has been rewarded by hal who does care about winning

Imo not a bad consolation prize. Even better if they got Reynolds who I consider a superior player to Nimmo.
