I'm a little torn on that one also. Reynolds is a much better player than the numbers would suggest last yr. He was hitting around .200 for the 1st 6 weeks of the season. If you take those weeks out, his numbers are more inline with his career numbers.

Reynolds comes with 3yrs of control and is very, very similar to the player scouts think Dom can become.

After that performance in AA and the AA playoffs I absolutely do not want to trade Dom. That said with Cole, Stanton, Rizzo, probably Judge, DJ and other all on the wrong side of 30, they are in win now mode.

Especially with how that rotation is setup for next yr this is a win now team and waiting another yr for Dom doesn't really fit that timeline

Benny isn't coming back and is likely going to Houston or STL

I hate giving up Dom and Torres but for Reynold and Bednar, I think that is a move u make

The Yankees, Pirates and Marlins are deep into a 3 team deal

Yankees Get Reynolds and a RP from the Pirates ( believed to be Bednar)

    Mia get Torres

Pirates get pitching specs believed to include Sixto Sanchez and other from Mia

Yankees would also send either Dom or Pereira AND Wells to Pitt

This is frame work of a deal they are discussing heavily. Medicals have been sent and this is coming from the same guy that told me last night about Verlander to the Mets, which i posted last night

There are other pieces moving, but those are the main pieces being discussed.

    As always FWIW
This would be very interesting in my view if the Yankees signed Bogarts or Turner.
Time to double down on the 'Spects!

I mean if we come away with Rodon, Judge and Reynolds. I would say we are better on paper then last year.. I would be ok with losing Dom in this scenario, Though we might regret it in 5 years. I mean I kinda think we shouldnt do it... I like Dom to much to lose him lol

Imo, bird in hand. If Reynolds is what you hope Dom to become grab him now during his prime production years.

I dont think their is any chance we sign anyone else other then Relief pitching, For sure Hicks will be gone and JD is gone, But JD if they can't make a deal, Maybe he plays better this year, Adjust to his surroundings... I know some players just don't like him so we will see. Volpe is gonna play second and Peraza short... I would love for them to keep Cabrera at 3rd and that be our infield. Or bring up Sweeney and let Cabs be that great utility player...

I think Dom can be so much more, But in the least be what Reynolds is... That is my only problem.. He has been compared to Mantle and Trout, Yes some have backed off on that.. But he carried our AA team. I would love to keep him and he takes over for Bader

The Dom Mantle/ Trout comps were waayyy out of line and unfair to Dom. Unreal tools, but not on that level

He also will not be an MLB caliber CFer. He has the speed and arm to play CF, but has bad reads and routes.

If they Yanks keep him it's for LF. Spencer Jones or Flo if he figures out how to make contact like he did in AAA are the 2 most realistic CFers in the system

This real news about Judge.. this comes from the highest levels in the Yanks

They have either made or are preparing to make their final offer to Judge. His market is seen as Giants and Yankees and the Yanks are prepared to " pressure" Judge for a decision

One way or another they expect a decision within 24-48 hrs

They also have made an offer for Rodon. Believed to be 6yrs 184m.. That deal isn't as close at this time
