Everyone talks about the Padres but the Mets might get the Phillies in the WC round if things continue as they are. The Phillies are the 6th seed right now.

Any other team would have scored at least 5 runs vs Morton. He was throwing absolute junk but our stars played like *****es all series

I blame some of this **** on Sal Licata calling the division over on May 31st. Dude is a complete dumbass. I would love to know how he got work on SNY.

This team has experienced players but not experience in playoff atmospheres. That’s what this series was and it was obvious that almost everyone was pressing. Maybe this experience teaches them something useful when things start for real again on Friday.

Steve gekos was right on Twitter. When he said what cost the Mets was going 6-8 versus Miami, Washington, chicago and Oakland in September.

All I'm gonna say is this: "A playoff contender does not allow itself to be swept at home by a team as bad as the Cubs." And that's all I've got to say to the people of this forum.

If the Mets were smart they would rest their best starting position players the next 3 games. Might as well.

I thought Milwaukee has no shot to catch the Padres which is why SD clinched

That's right. I forgot the Cardinals are 3rd because they won the division. Thinking it came down to wins.

Our offense lacks consistent power even though we have many players who had hit 20 or more homeruns in past seasons. Fundamental hitting is also a problem. We had a man on 3rd base with nobody out and we couldn't bring him home on a flyball.

The Phils are just one game behind the Padres for the 2nd WC.

It’s still undecided who the Mets will play.

Based on season series Mets should avoid the Padres, but based on how ****** they are playing it won’t matter, Mets will lose in the WC round.

None of those matchups look good for us in a three game series with how bad our offense is and the fact both SD and PHI have a solid 1-2

Especially if Marte is hurt. Hard to imagine our offense doing enough
