I agree when they had the division in their hands and coughed it up against bad teams at home. Basically Braves gained 12 games against the Mets. Not good.

Yes because they are 76-31 since the Mets were up 10.5 up. They've played .710 baseball since June 1st.

Does it matter at this point? There will undoubtedly be a letdown against Washington, but the important thing is to get things straightened out for Friday. Do they recover from this? I’m not sure.

So the next question is will they lose the WC series in 2 games or the fraud will lose it in game 3?

Don't think it has to do with recovery. Their offense would have to get hot and their bullpen would have play up in the playoffs. As you said its about execution and I don't know if they have enough to execute properly. That was a lot of our thoughts before they lost the division though.

Yeah. They were so good against the bottom feeders through August, but seemed to lose the plot in September.

I remember that too. They should have won that series. They should have beat the A’s in 73. They should of had Valentin bunt with bases loaded in 2006. Belliard and Pujols playing on the grass.

Gooden pitching to scoscia instead of reliever. So many defeats from the jaws of victory.

    Tonight NOTHING after 3-1 lead.

Lindor as I feel gets big stats like McReynolds did but not getting it done when counts the most. Let’s see what he does in playoffs. Any way you cut it this team needs some big changes.
I will not feel safe next season with any lead because Braves have team that gets it done and most of their guys are signed.

Maybe the biggest concern is the falloff of the performance of the top three starters. If that continues as it was here, it’ll be two and out and time for golf.

Depends on if he can grip a bat. If he can, you might see him as the DH in the WC series. I doubt it though.

At this point Cohen HAS to get Aaron Judge for next year. Because this offense isn't cutting it.

I think they can get past whoever they play in the WC round. It just becomes that much more of a crapshoot because its a lot smaller of a sample size. Now you have to win 2 out of 3 and there's a lot more volatility in that.

I wasn't positive they would beat the Braves or Dodgers in the playoffs anyways but now their road got more difficult.

Yup. I would let deGrom walk for Judge. I love Ohtani but waiting till 2024 means this team is that much older.
