No, I have no confidence in a playoff run. Nice that we got there, but this team, hitting and pitching like this, has no shot.
It’s great we got an owner who was willing to throw down the cash because he recognized the debacle he acquired

2-12, 5Ks, 7 LOB. Great work Francisco. If the guy has even a halfway decent series maybe we win a game.

Mets hitting coach’s messed up Nimmo and McNeil. Now they are back on track and will expect big money.

Yeah… Marte really leaves a hole. Said at the beginning of the season to someone here that we had two teams with diametrically opposing theories of offense and would find out which is best at the end. I don’t like HR or nothing baseball. I find it boring. Heck, I’d probably be happier with another dead ball era. (lol) The game is just more interesting, more strategic when you have to build runs. Does the Braves winning the division by 2 or 3 games prove that their approach is best overall. I don’t know. It certainly was for this series in the absence of shutdown pitching.

Holy crap McNeil is only 1 point behind Freeman. Hey at least that's something. Everything else sucks. Would be cool if he won the batting title.

I was talking about Kevin Long, never liked him
I liked Chili, but he was fired quickly and McNeil was awful last year

First, from me, apologies. I’m just as disappointed as anyone else here. We all have our own ways of expressing and dealing with that and this board, in part, is here for that reason. Still, my getting personal or impatient with how others do it here is over the top and not part of who I am, at least usually. So… sorry. I never thought this team could go all the way, but falling short of the division championship is a disappointment considering how long they’ve held the lead both last year and this year. Still, this year represents progress, a big step. I hope the Mets can take one series and give the Dodgers a scare. And being a fan, I’ll hope we can somehow catch lightning in a bottle and go all the way. LGM.

Of course our relievers can't pitch but theirs are Aces.

It’s extremely difficult, a real kick in the balls.
I don’t think it hurts as much as 2006, to me, that was the most painful…it still hurts

The thing that worries me most is Marte probably won't be back in time for the playoffs. That's why I wanted the bye. Give us some time...

But I mean we SHOULD beat the Padres right? Right?

5-2, 4-2, 5-3. Not exactly a whupping, but a triad of falling short, all the same.

Yeah, that’s on my mind too. Is he done for the season? Could be. Looks like it, doesn’t it?
