The Mets have to many holes in this lineup. This game pointed that out. The third inning killed this team in both haves.
Also disturbing how often METS score and can not get a shutdown inning. Watch Morton retire the side in order.

That’s the correct take IMHO. This series is poised to be a disappointment (to me) because I thought and still think we can get one. Braves should win this series — they’re at home. My disappointment will be not getting that one win.

You knew Morton would have an easy 1-2-3 inning. Mets the worst almost 100 win team. Would nit be shocked if Braves really pour it in now versus bullpen. Morton may go another inning.

The way they’ve absolutely folded down the stretch is a massive disappointment. The Braves have been awesome but we’ve held them off with solid play, even taking 4/5 from them when they first closed in.
But now, with the pressure on, we choked. Dudes saying they’re nervous before the series, our stars flopping in the spotlight. Gross.
I only hope we’re getting it out of our system now. Because this is awful.

Mets still in playoffs but I expect even less in post season. I can see major changes next season.
