    Mets @ Braves

    Biggest series of the year!

Need to take 2/3 but 1/3 is still ok.

We will sweep them and put them to rest no excuses our best starters are out.

If this series were held in NY, Citi field would be sold out for sure.
Even though there is another series to play after this, this one is mostly the whole enchilada.
Mets must take at least one of the three games, two would be better.
If the Mets were to sweep, it would be over. Same thing in reverse.

Then again, everybody gets a second chance in the post season play.

I have major memory gaps when it comes to Mets history, but this has similar juice to the Cardinals series with the division on the line at the end of 1985 (Cards were in the east then and there was no WC). Two great teams, but unlike this year, only one would get to the post season. We won the first two of three classic games. In the final game, a 4-3 loss which essentially ended our season, Keith went 5 for 5. Cards ended up with 101 wins to our 98. Devastating as a fan, but exciting because we knew that we had young, elite and veteran talent in place to contend for a while.

This is the flip side of 1985. This time Atlanta needs the sweep. The Mets only need one win to be in the driver’s seat.

Yes. And that '85 series didn't really get interesting until after we had won the first two.

Latest forecast has no rain in ATL for the next week. My concern was having a deGrom or Scherzer start interrupted and shortened because of delays. Now I have to find something else to worry about.

Well they're missing Strider which is good. Morton can be a pain in the *** though.

Just win 1 game. I think we win the division if we can do so.. Sounds simple but a hard ask against their pitching staff. Fried will be very tough tonight as always so put on your rally underwear.
