It seems there are a lot of clubs in on Bellinger...So that makes it almost a guarantee (Price will be high) we won't sign him...

Yes, the one year, prove it deal, pretty much puts half the teams in the league in the interested category.

Clevinger or Wacha?? Depends on the "deal" ...But I'd be happy with either one, unless they can get a better pitcher via trade.

So it's Clevinger pending physical $8 Mil Guaranteed...I really like this deal. I would have added a 2nd year, but I think his side probably said no....

I think it is a good, low risk signing. Im a firm believer in getting 2 years past the TJS to see the player back to his post surgery potential.

I'm good with the deal if it's for only $8 million. I want Lambert in the ready to step in and replace him as soon as Mike shows the signs of failure or is injured. And once Lambert is in the rotation, it's his for at least the rest of 2023 and all of 2024 before I would make a potential change.

Im pretty sure theyre all in on Lambert and Lopez in the pen. Our 6th starter will likely be Davis Martin again. Pitching staff is set IMO. Crochet might get some openers aka 21 Kopech as well.

    Cease/Lynn/Kopech/Gio/Clevy

    Hendriks
    Graveman
    Lopez
    Bummer
    Kelly
    Lambert
    Diekman
    Crochet (Hybrid)
    Martin (Emergency SP in Charlotte)

Ive heard a few rumors about teams valuing Ruiz. Hopefully we can trade him. Not sure what they see in him. Hes not the worst reliever ever but hes nothing to write about.

Id be ecstatic if we could get Murphy/Kemp from the As. Kemp could be our super utility guy playing OF and 2B. Murphy is the Catcher we absolutely need. Id bring back Andrus too.

Hard to be upset about this deal, high upside potentially with little risk. Hard to be that excited about it either but if he gives us 130 or more innings this year it should be a good deal.

Coincidentally this was the 8 mil saved on Pollock. I'm wondering if further moves are going to happen only if we can dump some salary or via a trade where the outgoing money is higher than the incoming money.

My gut tells me Grandal will be the Catcher for 2023 in hopes that he is injury free and can revert back to 2020-2021 Yaz. Andrus comes back for 2b and we dumpster dive for another OF.

Now being reported as $12 mil. Not quite as low risk as $8 mil.
