Will this series bury the Sox and end the season or will they fight and stand or gain ground in the AL Central?

Hoping for a split, but Sox probably losing 3/4 hope I am wrong though.

We need Cleveland to slip up a game or 2 early this week. That way if we struggle we donít lose ground and we can right the ship over the weekend. Iíd love to be at worst 1-2 back heading into the weekend series, but 3-4 is very possible and probably more probable with us going 4 with Houston and Cleveland going 4 with the Tigers. We really needed 3 of 4 from the Royals last week but winning a 4 game series Vs the best team in the AL would level things out.

Also gotta keep an eye on those WC teams. Every week it switches which one is more in reach. Right now itís the WC. Toronto struggled Vs Cleveland. The Rays are have been less consistent then us for a while. Seattle slipped up this weekend. The Oís arenít exactly perfect. Twins are reeling a bit.

Astros arenít though perfect so anything could happen. They recently got swept by the Aís, lost a series to Boston and split 4 with Cleveland.

I hate Rusty Baker. Another Roid proponent and a prick. No more ******** about resting players, worrying about rest for the pen, don't run hard lest you pull a hammy. This series with the Stros needs to be won and won impressively. No more excuses.

Who is our SS for the rest of the season, Sosa or Leury? Is there another option?
Robert needs to play every game in this series.

Time share between Leury/Sosa with Harrison getting a night off at 2B here and there. If Sosa's defense costs us, go with Leury/Harrison as the primary MI. Right now defensively Harrison/Leury give us the best chance to win. Based on stats recently Harrison/Leury give us the best chance to win. Upside Sosa gives us a better chance at the plate then Leury. Gotta get him somewhat consistent AB's to see if he can heat up and become a real threat.

Garcia is not going to "heat up". Neither is Grandal. Nor is Moncada. All three are very easy outs for a good pitcher to throw against. None of the three make any swing adjustments at all. A good pitcher who can hit his spot will beat them 80-90% of the time.

This is the LaRussa line-up. Its been his line-up stupidity the entire season and isn't going to change or be altered. Might as well not have a GM.

Another issue for Houston is that Nrantley is out for the rest of the season. He has historically been a Sox killer. Of course knowing Houston, theyíll probably call up a guy from AAA to go 8/19 with 3 HRs and 8 RBIs this series.

If Sosa doesnít start to hit, which visually looks like a long shot right now, they may need to go outside the organization for SS help. Scour the waiver wire and see if an out of contention team waives someone or maybe Gregorius or Simmons, who are already out there, I believe.
