This team is toast, since the allstar break, only Detroit has a worst record. They will not finish first in the East, possibly make a wild card, then goodbye until next season without Judge.

Some of you really need to chill. Yanks are winning the division.

The good news, they still have the second best record in the AL. They lead the AL East by 10 games. The bad news, they are playing like ****. Judge still has NO protection. The once bullet proof BP has shown some vulnerability. Injuries are a reality all teams must deal with, not an excuse an unfortunate reality. The rotation is not as sharp as it once was. The offense can become anemic at the most inopportune time.

IMO, they were not as good as they appeared in first half AND are not as bad as they appear at the moment. The rotation played above their heads in first half and have now come back to earth. The offense in second half needs to pick up the pace.

They need a spark, something to light the fire. Is Florial that player? IDK. BUT it can't hurt. Hicks looks like he's aged a decade in a few months. Bader is no help at the moment but could he be the sperk? Maybe next year.

I just posted that same thing in another thread. How the **** is locastro up and Flo isn't?

Cashman clearly has an agenda aside from winning. My fear is he is back next year and he signs turner or Correa and then trades all these guys and the team ends up exactly the same as they are this year.

For a BACKUP OFer, I'm good with Locastro. If Florial comes up it should be to play every day and make Hicks the 4th OFer.
