This is not a slump.
This team stinks.
They were playing way way over their heads. The starting staff thought they were the 66 Orioles.
Hitters were riding the Judge/Stanton train.
Boone actually looked like he could manage.
This all went to Cash's head at the trade deadline.
Benintendi was a good get, but is no Reynolds and definitely no Soto.
Montas is a good number three. Waldichuk will be better. Castillo would be our number one. I don't care how much they pay Cole.

I'm thinking of going to a twelve step program to try to get the Yankees out of my system. One title in 22 years.

And save it with the Pythagorean crap. Actual records is what i go by not some formula that is skewed as 1 or 2 games can make the runs scored better than the runs allowed. That is the glass half full garbage that doesn’t improve the actual record. Whoever designed it was somebody who was always 2nd but tried to find a way to make themselves better. What a load of crap.

They played way over their heads no doubt. Are they currently this bad of a team? Probably not. I think they are just a 95-67 type team. My only fear is they do what the Angels have done and that is fall off of the cliff. They are in complete correction mode and sometimes it gets pulled a little further back than liked. Again, think 95-67 this season.

Cashman clearly has an agenda aside from winning. My fear is he is back next year and he signs turner or Correa and then trades all these guys and the team ends up exactly the same as they are this year.

Ok that makes sense. The Yanks have been trash lately.

Lack of player movement is wild. I mean the trades aren’t game changers and the fact they have guys lighting it up in the minors and they refuse to play them in the MLB is something else.

I wonder if that impacts the IFA players in the long term. Why sign with a team that is not going to play me in the bigs I rather go somewhere else to get mlb time to go get the real money.

The good news, they still have the second best record in the AL. They lead the AL East by 10 games. The bad news, they are playing like ****. Judge still has NO protection. The once bullet proof BP has shown some vulnerability. Injuries are a reality all teams must deal with, not an excuse an unfortunate reality. The rotation is not as sharp as it once was. The offense can become anemic at the most inopportune time.

IMO, they were not as good as they appeared in first half AND are not as bad as they appear at the moment. The rotation played above their heads in first half and have now come back to earth. The offense in second half needs to pick up the pace.

They need a spark, something to light the fire. Is Florial that player? IDK. BUT it can't hurt. Hicks looks like he's aged a decade in a few months. Bader is no help at the moment but could he be the sperk? Maybe next year.

I love how ESPN is distracting Torres at 2nd base. Two hits right at him when he was talking while game in play. He reacted very slow to the 1st hit and then on the Devers hit it goes over his head as he forgot to jump cuz he was talking.

Unbelievable!

Why can't they talk to these guys when they are on the bench and not on the field? Asinine.
