So an all star never makes errors?

    Ridiculous

I missed last inning. What is up with Drew Smith lately? I'm busy trying to figure out how to take care of my poor dog during these neighborhood fireworks. Every year it's like a war zone. My lil guy is trembling in fear.

Glad to see Alonso contribute in a meaningful way...finally. Has he changed his swing or approach at the plate?

Can't believe that the Phillies don't have a home game on the Fourth of July. You'd think that today would be a very special day for Philadelphia.

    Why isn't Diaz pitching today?

He pitched 2 of the last 3 days so I guess they gave Lugo the chance. Thankfully he came through.

Props to Walker, him and Peterson have both stepped up when the Mets really needed them unlike the fraud and crumbled cookie.

Nice win in a ballpark that is a joke. Hot summer nights and the ball jumps out if the park. You really need a nice fat lead of runs late. Mistakes and walks can also hurt badly in this park. Drew smith was real lucky in the inning he pitched.
Scherzer gives up homers. I just hope the METS come out and destroy them tomorrow night.

Walker is starting to remind me of Kevin Gausman with that splitter. It doesn't have the break to it that Gausman's has but its a really nice GB pitch and he gets a decent amount of swings and misses on it. As long as he's healthy, I expect a big second half from him.
