I think housing first homeless solutions are the way to go, the problem is that in so much of the country, (particularly California) it's damn near impossible to get anything ****ing built.

This one I will never understand. If we accept the premise that being made in America is objectively good, then what about in state? Are goods from in state objectively better under the same logic? Are goods from in city objectively better under the same logic? You keep going by ward/block/house. And you realize at some point along the way that you started under a faulty premise.

Maybe I should have said domestically but you get my point. I dont see why a company like Coca Cola for example has their main operations in Mexico when they're worth 70 billion dollars.

because labor, materials, and overhead costs in Mexico are nothing compared to here..

I don't even care about where we source material from, if it all comes from the US, prices for everything go up.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

I understand why they do it. I'm saying a company like that should have its main base here considering that's where they do their most business. They are just one of many though. More goods should be exported from the US and made domestically instead of imported from other countries.

Their largest bottling operations was in Mexico as of 5 years ago. I don't know if that's changed since but it was there.

The cheaper the crap, the more crap the American consumer can buy.

Sure, no doubt. I still would like to see more things produced domestically to help American companies and employees. That said, I do understand its beneficial to the American consumer to buy things that are produced for pennies on the dollar somewhere else.

That plant is closed. The largest coca cola bottling plants are in Charlotte, NC and Ballina, Ireland.
