Man we should have bunted Marte in the first after the Nimmo double. This is Verlander pitching! Gotta scratch out a run. We'd probably be up 1-0 if Marte sacrificed. Can't play for a big inning against Verlander.

Someone will have to tell me why Nido would call for a curve against a batter that can't hit a fastball.

I guess this -- and his last few outings -- takes the bloom off Drew Smith's rose.

Haven't we all. The Mets have a bad habit of giving scrubs their best major league experiences.

If Philly can't pull one out tonight, the lead will shrivel to 3.

Doesn't matter all that much actually. We have 15 more games against the Braves. The division will likely be decided in the head to head matchup.

Right now this Mets team is just not very good. No hitting, bad pitching Walker today aside.

I don't know how many times we've played the Astros, but we haven't beaten them since 2017. Revenge for 1986,, apparently.

Walker's been the closest thing to being a stopper, which we really haven't had since Jake and then Max went down.
