And I’ve found that most people who have interpretations of the Bible that veer from “what’s widely agreed upon” are the most likely to be worth listening to (Robin R. Meyers of Oklahoma City’s Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ comes to mind).

Sure, but even restricting it to what is widely agreed upon, there are still differences of opinions. It's why there are literally many different sects of Christianity.

We are not God so we won't know 100% who is saved and not. God does not ask a believer to know that.
The topic is dogmatic. There is no dogma for a Christian to know who is and is not a fellow Christian.
