Yankees have signed Matt Carpenter and immediately added him to the 26 man roster. They have also called up Manny B and signed him to an MLB deal. Both are expected to play in the Tampa series

The Carpenter signing is a little out of LF. I wonder if that means the DJ issue is more serious or maybe they are looking to replace Gonzalez ?

    your not wrong, lol

I'm really hoping the give Miggy a real shot with Stanton out. The Carpenter signing is a little curious though

sounds like Brit is ready to start throwing full BP's. He's thinking late July, I think August might be more realistic. Like you said, if he can be 90% of what he was, he'll be an asset in the back of the BP

I didn't think he played SS? At least from baseball reference, I know 1rst, 2nd and 3rd

Yeah. It's a weird signing. He used to be able to hit but not for the last few seasons. At least he's a lefty bat.

It could certainly mean DJ's issue is more than advertised but even if it is, it's weird. You still have Gonzalez.
If DJ is injured, you have Torres at 2nd and IKF at SS.

Maybe more moves on the way?

This is all done because DJ is going to be out for 2-3 months.

Carpenter is 36, rode hard and put away!

The Yankees have signed RHP Shane Greene to a minor league deal and assigned him to Triple-A Scranton.

???? I have no clue. Boone is saying DJ is probably going to be available tomorrow. I'm wondering if it's not something to do with JD. Would they try to cut him over this " Jackie" BS. No one from the Yanks, player or management has backed him up publicly

This particular lineup is not going to muster any runs tonight. An absolute joke!

****ing bunt You had the entire left side. You are a lefty bat and the pitcher is falling to the first bae side. Why wouldn't you drop one down if you are Gonzalez ? Stupid.

This is a good TB lineup Nestor is 2 hitting. Now he's being able to go into the 6th-7th-8th inning, he's being to give you the length you're looking for from a TORP. How can you not call him at least a legit #2, if not better?

He would have to have a couple horrible outings to not make the AS team

I still think he's a 3 but working to be a TORP. I need a full year of him doing this. If he's still like this at the end of the year? 2 for sure.
