White Sox @ Yankees May 20-22

    White Sox @ Yankees

    Fri, May 20 • 7:05 PM EDT
    At Yankee Stadium

    Dallas Keuchel
    LHP
    2-3, 5.54 ERA, 16 SO

    Nestor Cortes
    LHP
    2-1, 1.35 ERA, 49 SO

Nestor Cortes Jr pitched 8 innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven while walking zero in a 5-1 Yankees victory against the White Sox in Chicago on Sunday.

Nestor toyed with the Chicago lineup on Sunday afternoon, picking up his second win of the year with his performance. Cortes lowered his ERA to 1.35, the 2nd best mark among qualified pitchers behind only Miami's Pablo Lopez.

    Sat, May 21 • 1:05 PM EDT

    Johnny Cueto
    RHP
    0-0, 0.00 ERA, 7 SO

    Luis Severino
    RHP
    3-0, 3.63 ERA, 38 SO

Luis Severino pitched six innings Monday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out seven in the Yankees' 6-2 win.

Luis Severino's only hiccup came in the 4th inning when Anthony Santander took him deep for a solo home run. Severino improved to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 against Baltimore. Monday marked Severino's first quality start of 2022 and he now has 38 strikeouts in 34 2/3 innings.

    Sun, May 22 • 7:08 PM EDT

    TBD

    Jameson Taillon
    RHP
    4-1, 3.28 ERA, 27 SO

Jameson Taillon pitched five innings, giving up three runs on six hits and one walk, while striking out two in New York's 5-4 win in Baltimore on Tuesday night.

Jameson Taillon made it through the minimum five innings and New York's bullpen held on just enough for him to improve to 4-1 through his first seven starts. Taillon has been solid for the Yankees in the middle of their rotation this year, making it though at least 5 innings in five of his seven starts and the three runs he allowed Tuesday were a season high. Sports 27 strikeouts in 35 2/3 innings , 3.28 ERA and 4-1.

As I read the above I heard thunder, saw lightening, the sky opened and the words bellowed from the heavens. We should all heed the words of the great and powerful wizard of Oz.

Rain all pushed out and it is only 7:17

    WHAT AN EFFEN JOKE!

Is this MLB or the Yankees decision?

    Terrible!

They used to at least wait 9:30ish

I realize they try to help the fans but come on, weather changes fast. Using a stupid weather App on their phone to make this kind of decision is ridiculous! Hopefully somebody is getting their *** chewed out!

Geez, you will be able to count the stars tonight in NYC!

you may be on to something that could be the reason the yankees wanted this game rained out to finally get a day off in this 20 plus game stretch..

That would be my guess. With as bad as Hicks is, Flo needs a look. At least with him we would get elite defense and someone who would hustle. Hicks just doesn't even look like he wants to be there.

Flo has more power, not that that's the most important part, but it certainly doesn't hurt. He's showing to be at least a plus stolen base threat, I think he's 11-12 on SB's this yr. He's also showing to be a plus, plus defender who will run throw walls to make a catch as he showed last night

I realize that i sound like a broken record about Flo, but if you have a opportunity to upgrade with an in house solution, they need to do that, IMO
