Carter had zero defensive value and he never looked like they guy he was when he hit 41 hrs again. He lost his job because his offense lost all its value

Gallo doesn't look that different from the player he was in Texas and with the shift being banned next yr someone will think that will change his avg some. I just don't think he'll have trouble finding a job next yr, I guess we'll see

Actually Gallo looks a lot like the guy who batted .160 for the yanks and the crappy 2020 Gallo as well, but if we're being entirely honest, he's actually worse than both those versions.

Maybe that's been an underlying issue? Maybe part of the reason he hasn't looked as sharp?
Hopefully he gets it done and comes back as a bullpen force at the very least

hard to believe but gallo strikeout rate this year is less then the second half as a yankee.. i think it is close

Reminds me of Sonney Gray 2.0. I just don't think he can handle pinstripes. Out of mercy for his mental health just trade the guy and bring Flo up. They don't lose much of anything defensively or athletically. Probably better offensively with a bit less power.

At very minimum they have to fix at least one of the Hicks or Gallo situations. Soto is a dream that i hope they can figure out a way to get done, Benintedi is very realistic.

Reminds me of Ed Whitson back in the early to mid 80s..

The poor guy was too nervous to pitch at Home that they only started him on the road. He was even excused to even coming to Yankee Stadium as he went to his car and tires were all flatten. The fans just have him the booing treatment early on but when he threw one of his pitches 30 ft over the head of the batter and it landed in the screen the fans were laughing so loud that he had to be removed. Laughter snd booing drove him to the bars and then he had that famous fight with Billy Martin when both were rolling in the bushes as George was walking up for a late night dinner. Hilarious stuff back then. Ed could fight with the best but couldn’t handle the fans at Yankee Stadium.

Ed was traded to San Diego and pitched like an ace again.
