    Thank you for your input.
This is pretty much what Australia did and it did work pretty well.

Um, nate, in your "expert" opinion, was that school prepared for dealing with an armed school shooter? You are just an insulting creepy windsock.
You want to know why it shouldn't have to be reasonable to expect an elementary school to be prepared for battle?

Sure pay more attention to Facebook, but they have 2.93 billion monthly users. They have tens of millions of posts a minute. Iíve worked tangentially with signint, blanket data collection of such a large platform is difficult, particularly when you donít have access to the software of the company.

Not to mention, we are opening a while can of worms if we are now advocating the government to monitor everyone and punish them criminally for posts, which traditionally are considered freedoms of speech.

I wasnít suggesting punishment. I understand itís an ambitious though, but like I said, just searching for ways to prevent these tragedies.

Yeah, I do. Why do the middle schools and high schools in the area have better protection for their students than elementary schools? Locking windows a doors and providing trained security officers at every school is just logical. You just are arguing a pipedream of making weapons to magically disappear.

While we are at it, nate, do you want to wish fentanyl to disappear from this country also by asking China to not produce it or provide the ingredients to make it for distribution to similar school age children that get gunned down in our schools?

For a minute there, I was worried we wouldn't get a random shot in at China for no apparent reason. Bullet dodged!

You know there was an armed cop already at the school, yes?

Here is what I would consider a real solution to the problems we are seeing here.

Also, FWIW, Facebook banned Trump citing public safety concerns, but this kid was all over the Internet on several social media platforms including Facebook and various other places displaying behavior that actually should have raised concern for public safety.
