Miranda, Martin, Woods-Richardson & Co. Twins Minor Leagues, 2022
The minor leaguers have all started out pretty well this year.
St. Paul is 4-1.
Wichita is 0-2.
Cedar Rapids is 2-0.
Ft Myers is 2-0.
Stats at this point in the season don't tell much, but Jake Cave and Royce Lewis are off to fast starts for St. Paul. No real surprise for either of these guys. Cave could be added to the 40-man roster easily and return to the bigs. Lewis is on the 40 and would be able to come up if something happens to Correa or Polanco.
Christian Encarnacion-Strand (3B, Cedar Rapids) has come out of spring training on fire as well. He is 9/10 following a .391 season with Ft Myers last year. I'll try to get to Cedar Rapids soon to see him in person.

It is entirely too early to judge pitchers, as most have either 2 or 3 appearances. I will keep up with them as the season goes along.
Matt Canterino pitched a really nice game yesterday going 3 perfect innings with 3 Ks. He only needed 23 pitches for his 3 innings -- 18 strikes. Wichita is happy to have him for as long as the Twins leave him there.
Steven Hajjar struck out 10 in 4.1 no-hit innings, with 2 walks and 1 unearned run allowed. Ft. Myers has him and Marco Raya leading their staff.

Wichita won the game 7-2. This is the second time the 2 brothers have ever faced each other this season. They were on the same team from little league through college, with Gus being a year ahead of Louie. The entire family was there for the game.
