It is a good question. If you say lead the league do people automatically assume NL/AL or MLB? Because I think technically what he said isn't wrong. Judge leads the majors in HR but Betts does lead the league (NL) in HR.

I am fine with 3 games though I do think there is significant inconsistencies between this penalty and other penalties we have seen.

Intentionally hitting someone with a pitch is worse than a slap but may get an ejection or a 1 game/1 start suspension
