The move I would like to see ATL make is for Wilmer Flores. SF is clearly not competing in the NL West at this point. Flores would be a rental, so he shouldn’t be too expensive. This one last deal would shore up the lineup and INF depth for the rest of the season. Snit could pencil him in as the starter everyday until Ozzie is ready and not think twice.

The Padres lineup is going to be scary. Soto turned down a 15 year $440 million dollar contract from the Nationals. I hope he holds the Padres over a barrel and forces them to give him $450+ million.
I mean, their 1-5 is pretty loaded. I wouldn’t say 6-9 is scary at all.
I actually think Soto is hitting FA. I can’t see a world where Boris doesn’t have Soto’s deal come down to a bidding war. Makes giving up all those prospects for a 1/3 season for Bell and 2+ years with Soto pretty risky. They basically have 3 years to win a WS.

Thor go the Phillies, that kind of sucks but, what can you do?
my question is, where do the Padres keep getting all these "top prospects" to trade for all the top level guys they are getting? are they just hitting on the majority of their draft picks and international signing guys?
Strider lights out again tonight. 12 K’s and only 2 hits. I don’t know how they take this kid out of the rotation

AA said that the organization does not believe in innings limits and Strider would stay in the rotation. Hopefully he was being honest.
