Back on track ... Mendick deserves a shot at being the regular 2B when Tim comes back next week.
Leury needs to go back to being what he is, a back-up. I'd give Mendick a month - six weeks to show if he can handle it or not. If not, they better make a deal or call up whoever is hottest to play that position.
Harrison absolutely has no place on this roster, he needs to be cut loose this weekend.

That's what I think will happen. Mendick bought the FO some time to hold back the calls for Yolbert. I wouldn't dump any legit asset into a 2B trade. We already traded a system pitcher for a half season rental at 2B last year. We have too much talent at 2B to waste any more assets on the position. Depending on Hendriks injury, and probably either way, we need to add BP help. Foster and Ruiz are starting to regress and Bummer is hurt...again. Our Pen is thin as hell.

Not sure what's your point, as usual? I liked him and thought he can play, nothing flashy but a can help a major league team.

I was joking on that lol. Hence the But Seriously. I just thought it was funny, I put on the Giants game while reading that and he got picked off.

The point I made in the 2nd sentence was that no one was talking about Luis Gonzalez last year. Like no one was wondering why he wasn't getting a shot over Brian Goodwin last year. So it makes sense that he just kinda slipped through the cracks. I did think he had promise in 2018 when he had a solid year at Low and High A. He didn't really carry that success to AA or AAA though. Nice to see he's doing well.

Exactly. His ceiling was nothing more than a role player. That should be enough to know why he's not on the team.

Rumors started swirling like crazy last night when his "AA" family tweeted he got called up.

So with Mendick probably going on the DL the rumor is probably true.
