Leftists talked about this back in the sixties. Bernie Sanders tries to legislate a bill to end the revolving door of corp to government and back. Will Rodgers talk about it. Pretty sure the settlers complained about it when the robber barons came through their communities. The rich/donor class and politicians have had a long and fruitful relationship. It's how the world spins.

You can tell what kind of administration a President will have by the people he chairs for watchdog agencies and cabinet. I watch both Clinton and Obama go straight to wall street for financial agencies' positions as much as the republicans. Congressional members submit bills written by their donors for congressional approval. Watch on Cspan a congressional member handing out donation checks on the floor of congress after a progressive bill was stopped and we won't even talk about insider trading with the information given by their donors. Bush and Clinton got rich off the Saudi connections they made in the oval Office. And so did Trump's son-in-law and Biden's son.
