Mussolini and Hitler's fascism was death on the left, hated socialists and communists. That fascism was centered on rich and far-right nationalism. Nationalists zealous with a massive dosage of anti-immigrate got a ring that is sounded from a certain party here in our country. A strong interest in protecting their culture from other ethnicities' influences. No wonder some republicans are liking what they see and cheer for her.

So what else do you like about her besides her being the first Italian primer?

The rich always take power, that's how it works.
Fascism is best summed up as "Blood and Soil" the idea that a particular group is attached to a particular plot of land, whether that's Italy for the Italians, or Palastiene for Palastenians. What set Musolini and Hitler apart, was expansionism. Franco never tried to expand the borders of Spain, Pinochet never tried to expand the borders of Chile.

    First, those all weren't foreigners.

Second, it's interesting that the opinion of one Italian guy is gospel, but anyone else is "click bait."

A better question is: why are you acting like you know anything about it?

I would blame poor education for ciaban not understanding what fascism is, but we have access to google nowadays. It's either willful ignorance or deliberate contribution to GQP misinformation campaigns.

fascism: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

The fascism that occurs in Europe is different from the ones in the middle east and affects us more when it comes to alliances and markets. What is sprouting in Europe bears an eerie and unsettling resemblance to fascism that raise in the 1930s and it reflects what is happening in our country as well. Branding the weak and powerless as the "others" and then blaming them for all their ills. Something you don't see as relatable. The growing racism and a wish to preserve their white/European culture by any ruthless means necessary. It's all culture war but you are trying to rationalize away those similarities. I'm willing at least to accept those on the ground, Italians, opinion of her than a conservative here. Adding the fact that Rep. Greene and other zealots republicans are cheering her victory, the same one who was enamored over Putin before the invasion, I think I give this one a solid no. Like attracts like.

A lot of conservatives, businessmen, and base, really like the fascism that came out of Europe in the 1930s. Adolph Hitler was voted man of the year, twice by the conservative mag, Times. We are starting to see a repeat here with the attraction for Giorgia Meloni. For the simple-minded here, I'm not saying she is Hitler but beat the same drum as he and Mussolini used. She once said that no politician was as good as Mussolini and of course she tone it down during the campaign for PM. But let's celebrate the idea of a woman becoming the first Italian PM. And she is a pro-lifer too.

Trump had a European pro-Nazi staff member in Sebastian Gorka with his anti-Semitic Hungarian influences. Neo-Nazi publishers who voice support for Trump-backed candidates. What is happening in Europe is being reflected and encouraged here.

After watching people downplaying or ignoringTrump malfeasances, I am not surprised someone is doing the same with Meloni. And please, the fact that she recanted past stances during a campaign reminds me of the last few SC nominees. "Oh, I'll not change Roe v Wade"

Oh so you think the president would have flown into a hurricane zone bringing all the bells, whistles, and security logistics to cause unnecessary problems during a hurricane recovery if it were a blue state. So put another way, you think Biden wants to make hurricane recovery harder for blue states than he does red states?

Today, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. declared that a major disaster exists in the State of Florida and ordered Federal aid to supplement State, tribal, and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by Hurricane Ian beginning on September 23, 2022, and continuing.

Seems like his presence is felt.

It also seems more fitting than this:

Meanwhile you don’t hear him complain about Marco Rubio skipping the vote for hurricane relief. He’s all about whining about something rather than real solutions. Just proceed as if his opinion doesn’t matter for jack****.
