the idiotic lockdowns happen during Trump's administration not Biden. Biden promises no new Donald Trump's type lockdowns and he has kept his promises on that issue. I never heard a alternative plan from the republicans for dealing with the early days of this pandemic when NYC had morgue trucks parked outside it's hospitals while the global death counts rose.

The recent CPAC convention was pure rabid MAGA, with speakers like Bannon and Cruz. Speaking of amendments. The GOP appears to have successfully had a provision that bars the out of pocket cost for insulin being higher than $35 from the IRA. It will not be removed for those on Medicare. But if you have private insurance, your cost for insulin will be significantly higher than $35 thanks to Republicans. The vote to overcome was 57-43…which means it failed. Only 7 Republicans were willing to cap the cost of insulin for Americans. 43 out of 50 said to Americans “you don’t need relief paying for insulin”.

Which is nothing more than I expect from a moderate. Shall we reminiscence about all the democrat moderates' successful policy achievements that have bitten us in the butts? NATFA? Deregulating banks? Fully supporting Cheney's Iraq war? The Crime bill where Biden's support was used, rightfully so, against him? Hillary and Pelosi beat the necons' drums so hard, I thought they would put a knife between their teeth and go to Iraq themselves. All achieve with bi-partisan support, too. Yippee for bipartisanship. Ever time the dims push for bi-partisanship, I know we will be f long and hard with one of those "transformational" bills.

Then when the moderate supporters crow that Biden was going to be the most progressive president since FDR, I couldn't stop laughing. Y'all actually voted against the politician who was as progressive as FDR for a chicken hawk conservative who brag about working with segregationists as proof that he can work with any low life in politic. Moderate movements don't do ****. They get us right where we are today with Trumpism and that ********, because they like the control and the facade they're the good guys. They're not, they just want control and enjoy a lot of the far right **** the US does , just behind closed doors.

Yup. The child tax credit received no support from democrats when given the opportunity. Adding vision/dental/hearing coverage to Medicare also failed 97-3. Not only are these aspects that were supposedly going to be done by this administration but they are aspects the dems campaign on and people really want.

That’s no surprise when you consider that millions of seniors lack dental coverage. Many suffer quietly with often excruciating pain caused by untreated–and often lethal–oral health disease.

This is exactly what many hate about our political system. You have an administration/party pretending to care for the people and bragging about things like the child tax credit to benefit them when convenient (look at the effects it had!). Or pushing this as part of their agenda like BBB. You have a large amount of support among the public for it too. Yet if lobbyists and their puppets decide it's not good the democrats won't support it when voted on. What you are noting is how little real support these people show when given the chance in reality despite their claims. It's no different than when you point out Republicans voting against things good for people/the country as well on issues. The only difference is now it's the dems voting against this stuff.

Democrats when given the chance to vote on these aspects decided to side with the lobbyists over the American public and their previous (likely fake) support when it benefited them.
