If it is our moral imperative to fight genocide then it shouldnít matter how much anyone else contributes, we should do it because it in and of itself is worth doing.

Because if you don't then you likely have to send US troops instead.

We could agree to a trilateral agreement where we agree that the entirety of Ukraine belongs to Vladimir Putin.

EDIT: to be clear, if this were some populist revolt thatís one thing (though Russia may be the worst example as their populist revolt led to Communism, the USSR and millions dead), but that doesnít appear to be the case.
Maybe there might be a Gorbochev type around? we can hope.

Would Russia follow such a man? They probably associate that type of person with the loss of their empire.

Screw Europe and NATO. Bunch of whiny a-holes other than GB. Balkans are different. They are tough and have some good huevos.

Iím not saying that they wonít. But I think it is not viewed positively in Russia. Americans and Russians view their leadership in the 80ís entirely differently.

Maybe. Especially the old Soviet Union people. I don't think the younger Russians and particularly young women and mothers of those Russian soldiers maimed or dead would be mad if Putin Croaked?

I sure would like to take look at that aid for pork. Not that the Ukrainians don't need our help, but you know how our congress works when it comes to bills.
