It's amazing how quickly people can forget two terrible recessions when it's their guy in charge. Bush f***ed up the economy in 2008 and Trump did the same in 2020...but they are Republicans so he doesn't see that. The economy is not at all the worst it's been in any even short measure of time.

IDK if that would work, just like if you kill the president, the VP takes over. A govt in Lviv would have been set up to fight for Ukraine, and we'd have a different "heroic leader" than VZ but I think the war would still be going.

What spin. The laws and policies loosened regulations on the industry. The industry got greedy and overextended themselves. Saying the laws caused it is saying we need to have strict oversight to prevent against corporate greed.

They did this at the behest of the Clinton Admin in the 90's to make it easier for poorer people to buy homes, part of the problem the industry had is these people weren't qualified to buy homes, so the govt changed the laws to allow them to, the industry gave out the only home loans these people would be qualified for. Fanny and Freddie were required to back these.

Bush actually ran against this **** back in 99-00 but after he got elected, this along with a bunch of other **** went out the window after 9/11.
