I'm really not sure what to expect from him as a GM, but I do hope the rumors of him having control over the coaching search are true. Hopefully there are going to be more than the 3 finalists we know about.

Optimistic for him and the Bears future.
Now go get a good HC.

Not going to react strongly at all, I think especially from a fan perspective, it's near impossible to evaluate who the good and bad candidates are, so let's just wait and see how he does. I'm glad to have it over with. Idk we're in a weird place right now.

He basically adopted Fields and now it's just a matter of whether or not he can get something out of him.

Ya, most hyped up the Pace hire as well. And here we are 5 years later. Itís really the HC that takes the GM down with him. Nagy was just so bad that it cost Pace, who otherwise wasnít bad (yes he whiffed big on the Mitch pick and traded away a lot of picks). Poles HAS to knock his HC hire out of the park.

It would be nice if he nailed his first draft pick. Shea McClellin and Kevin White have set the bar low.

I still want Daboll. But that's looking unlikely now. I'm guessing either he thinks the Bears are a dumpster fire and wants nothing to do with us, or he just has a lot of family in NY and wants to stay local. Or both.

Oh man...I'd forgotten about Shea McClellin.

Emery really was an awful GM.

Fuller, Jeffery, Leno, Long are his only picks that went on to be worth anything. And honestly that's more names than I expected.

Not my first choice by any means but will give him some time before I give any crap, however, if he pivots to Eric "Nagy clone" Bienimy then the crap starts to fly!
